A trip to the bathroom starts our day and ends our day, with visits in between. Its closed door can be a sanctuary away from the rest of the family. If you are tired of looking around and seeing clutter, dark spaces, and outdated “everything,” its time to consider a change.
If your current budget cannot withstand a full renovation, consider making improvements to at least one of these.
Radiant Floor Heating
Is there ever a better time to install radiant floor heating? Imagine stepping onto a warm floor after your shower. Ahhh, few of us will ever experience that joy in the middle of winter.
Depending on the size of your bathroom, you might want to install a freestanding tub or you might want to convert your existing bathtub/shower combo to a walk in shower. Either choice will change the look, feel and functionality of your bathroom.
Walk into your bathroom and take a look around. Do you see things left out because you simply have no storage? Cabinets have come a long way. Not only do they provide storage, but they add appeal to the room with the use of open and closed spaces, and a variety of door options.
No, we are not considering the toilet a “seat.” A soft spot to finish drying off or to put on your socks can be a nice accent to a comfortable bathroom. The type of seating should be in tandem with the size and layout of the room.
Rugs & Tiles
One of easiest ways to change the look in your bathroom is to simply change the rugs, towels and shower curtain to a different color scheme. That will hopefully give you the time you need to save up for an upgrade that will be worth waiting for.
